The SMC is hiring a Research Assistant in the New England lab

The RA may have chances to collaborate on projects that are ongoing. While novel is not a warranty, the RA might have the chance to co-author newspapers while in MSR. The RAship will need 40 hours per week on site in Cambridge, MA. It is a 12 – 18 month contractor position. The position pays hourly with flexible hours. The beginning date will on or soon before July 1, even though flexibility could be possible for the correct candidate.

This position is perfect for emerging scholars intending to apply to PhD programs in Communication, Media Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Studies, History, Philosophy, STS and Critical Info Studies, and related fields who want to develop their study skills and area experience before entering a graduate program. Present New England-based MA/PhD pupils are welcome to apply provided they’re able to devote to 40 hours of on-site work each week.
Job duties may include:
We’ll begin reviewing applications. We hope to produce a hiring decision no later than early May.
— Creating literature testimonials annotated bibliographies
— Recruitment ethnographic and interview information
— Copyediting manuscripts
— Dealing with academic journals about themed segments
— Assisting with study project information management and event business
